This afternoon my friend Rick invited me to the sneak peek of the new Premium Burger Joint called Dave & Tony's, named after David Miller and Anthony Dahl, located at 12766 Olive Blvd, Saint Louis, MO 63141. This new venture is replacing the original Sammy Scott's which was an upscale sandwich shop. 

At Dave and Tony’s they only use the finest ingredients and all of their beef is fresh – never frozen! Almost everything is made in-house, including their salad dressings and sauces, chicken tenders, onion rings and fries. They strive to be a high-quality, custom alternative to the ordinary burger place and are committed to giving you a better burger experience.

They have numerous Signature Sandwiches – and I decided to go for the “Hawaiian BBQ Burger”, which was a premium steakbuger topped with ham, grilled pineapples, caramelized onions, bbq sauce and sharp cheddar spread finished with a pretzel bun! A burger this good would make Homer Simpson drool just thinking about it!

They also offer a “BUILD YOUR OWN” for only $6.50 to start – and they simplify it by steps! Step 1: Type – either sandwich or salad. Step 2: Protein – which can be a steakburger, chicken, turkey or veggie burger. Step 3: Bun – from standard, to pretzel, even Rye! Step 4: Cheese – I love the fact they offer Gorgonzola Blue and Mozzarella on top of the normal selections. Step 5 and 6: Toppings and Premium Toppings – once again they go above and beyond the norm by offering Crispy Wontons, Sprouts, Avocado, Baked Beans and even Guacamole! And last but not least Step 7: Sauces/Dressings – which can involve anything from Apple Jam, to Chipotle Ketchup to Pesto!

Basically – this is a “Must Stop Shop” for any burger lover, or perhaps a person who has given up on finding their “Dream Burger”, I guarantee it!
